How we work
We work with SME leaders and managers on people leadership in practice.
This means supporting leaders with the real situations they face day to day: difficult conversations, managing conflict, handling difference, and leading fairly when there is pressure or uncertainty.
Our approach is practical and behaviour-focused. It is not theory-led training or HR policy advice. The focus is on how leaders show up, communicate expectations, and make decisions with people.

What leaders experience
Leaders we work with often feel capable in their role but uncertain about how to handle people issues confidently. This work helps them move from hesitation to clarity.
They learn how to:
  • address issues early rather than avoiding them
  • lead conversations calmly and fairly
  • manage difference without fear of “getting it wrong”
  • hold consistent standards while remaining human
The result is fewer people issues escalating, stronger trust within teams, and more time spent leading rather than firefighting.

How the work is delivered
This work is delivered through a structured 8-week programme that builds leadership capability progressively, with time to practise, reflect, and embed change between sessions.
The programme brings together practical leadership input, real workplace scenarios, and guided reflection. Where specialist insight adds value, this is integrated thoughtfully and always tied back to everyday leadership behaviour.
In some cases, organisations may also need targeted consultancy alongside the programme. This is discussed on a case-by-case basis and is not offered as a menu of services.

A clear boundary
We do not advise on operational or commercial strategy.
My work focuses specifically on people leadership and management behaviour.
If you are looking to strengthen how people are led day to day, this work will be a good fit.

If you’d like to understand whether this approach is right for you or your organisation, the next step is a short conversation.

How We Teach Inclusive People Leadership
We use realistic team-leader scenarios so participants can practise responding to difference, bias, and everyday people challenges they actually face at work.
Sessions are highly interactive. Instead of long presentations, participants work through role-play, case studies, and group discussions that help inclusive leadership behaviours stick. Exercises are always tailored to your sector and the realities of small organisations.

Typical scenarios include:
  • a team member feeling overlooked
  • recruitment or task-allocation decisions
  • comments that land badly or feel exclusionary
  • informal social dynamics that unintentionally leave people out
Participants practise handling these situations in a safe, supportive environment and leave with practical behaviours, clearer decision-making approaches, and a short action plan they can use immediately back at work.
We know organisations need support at different levels. Our core training focuses on strengthening the day-to-day people skills of team leaders and line managers. For organisations that also need support with recruitment practices, policy reviews, or wider audits, we offer additional consultancy options to match your priorities.

Programme cohorts run at regular points throughout the year. If a scheduled session no longer works, alternative options can be discussed.
